The Goodwood Festival of Speed – The Silver Jubilee

During 12 – 15 of July, Goodwood Festival of Speed celebrated their 25th anniversary, The Silver Jubilee. This annual celebration has become a tradition to celebrate motoring and Motorsport's greatest pioneers and heroes, as well as the most iconic road-going and competition machines.

The Duke of Richmond hosted the event this year and chose his 25 favorite moments from the first 25 events and his choice of the cars, making this year’s event truly spectacular.

As Official Sponsor of the Goodwood Festival of Speed, BMW presented some of most iconic and luxury cars for fans to immerse themselves in. The BMW Pavilion showcased a host of the latest BMW Models while also providing the opportunity to dine, drink and enjoy interviews hosted by Paul O’Neill with Motorsport legends such as BTCC Drivers Rob Collard and Colin Turkington.

The BMW i area offered the opportunity for interaction where guests were invited to comment on what excited them about the future of hybrid and electric powered vehicles.

The BMW Stable Yard provided a premium, artistic space for visitors to pause from the excitement of the hill climb. This space featured a BMW 8 Series take over, alongside a line-up of luxury models including the new BMW i8 Roadster and the BMW Concept M8 Grand Coupé plus a very special 1995 850 CSi painted by David Hockney.

A vast range of BMW cars was on show over the weekend, including: BMW Concept Z4, BMW M2 Competition, BMW M3 CS, BMW M5,BMW i3s, 5 Series Plug-in Electric Hybrid, The New BMW X4 and BMW X2.

BMW Park Lane attended the Goodwood Festival of Speed inviting nine customers to drive in convoy in the BMW 5 Series, 6 Series GT and X3. The guests had the opportunity to meet some of the most prestigious BMW drivers such as Murray Walker and a personal tour of the Stable Yard with some of the Product team from BMW UK. Guests then experienced the traditional Goodwood Hill Climb with a line-up of BMW’s most prestigious and exclusive cars. Some guests even had the opportunity to join the hill climb in a BMW i8 Roadster, BMW 8 Series and BMW M2 Performance Concept with some of the BTCC racing drivers in cluding Colin Turkington.

What our visitors said:

“Really impressive stand with huge range of models on display”

“Interactive elements are a nice touch and make the stand family friendly”

“The roof terrace sets the stand apart from competition to be able to see the hill climb”

BMW Park Lane would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone that could make it to the event.
